Colourful, modern coffee photography

I am really inspired by the futuristic coffee photography I’ve seen coming out of East Asia. South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and China. Dramatic hard light coffee photography with precision styling and lots of eye-catching colour.

These images are my homage to this modern coffee trend – using colourful Asian ingredients like dragon fruit, matcha green tea and butterfly pea flower to showcase super vibrant natural colours and global flavours.

I like to shoot with strong directional light that really keeps the focus on the hero, with hard light shadows that are an art form of their own.
